We offer a range of clinics and services at the surgery. There are some tasks you can do, such as health reviews, using our online forms.

Long term condition reviews

Please ask for an appointment with one of the nursing team. We advise trying to arrange your annual review appointments in your birthday month.

Cervical Smears/Cytology Screening

Cervical screening, which used to be called a smear test, is a test to check the health of the cervix and help prevent cervical cancer. It’s offered to women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 64.

Please ask to see the nurse for an appointment.

Family Planning and Sexual Health Services

For advice on contraception, please book to see our specially trained nurses.

  • Oral – long acting reversible contraception
  • Injections
  • Coils and implants
  • Provision of condoms (for under 24s)

These services are not confined to the clinics. The Nurses involved are always available for sexual health advice and counselling.  The practice also offers free chlamydia tests. Please visit www.yorsexualhealth.org.uk for more information on sexual health.

Emergency Contraception

For advice on contraception early after unprotected sex book an urgent appointment to see our specialist Nurse.

Maternity Care

Community Midwives run regular antenatal clinics from the practice for our pregnant patients.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is a treatment to relieve symptoms of the menopause. It replaces hormones that are at a lower level as you approach the menopause.
