Flu Vaccinations

Flu Clinics 2020

Due to Covid-19 our flu planning needs to be different to previous years.

Unfortunately, our vaccine order is later than normal - we apologies for this, but this was due to the supply chain.

The practice needs to maintain social distancing as per Government Guidelines. This means that trying to vaccinate hundreds of patients in the surgery is logistically very difficult. The Samaritans, who are next door to the Surgery, have agreed to assist us. This is because we can adopt a one way system using their building and your exposure to other patients will be limited.

Also, rather than individual appointments, we have issued invitation letters to those of you who are eligible. This has been done on a priority basis as per NHS England's guidelines. Follow the instructions on the letter and remember to bring it with you.

If you cannot attend at your allotted time, please try not to telephone reception. We are taking unprecedented volumes of telephone calls, and this may prevent a very poorly person not being able to get through on the phone.

The practice can take an email or we will be contacting patients again, to attend smaller clinics in Practice.

Also if you have any queries regarding flu or would like to tell you have had it at chemist or don't want it, you can contact us via the Online Consultation and we will respond quickly.

Thank you
